J. Blake Douglas
A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, J. Blake Douglas joined Tannehill Carmean in 2021. Blake’s area of practice is wills and estates and family law. Prior to joining the firm, Blake worked for Hollis Legal Solutions, PLLC in Olive Branch primarily representing clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody and support.
While in law school, Blake clerked for the firm assisting with drafting wills and estate documents and real estate matters. In his last year of law school, Blake interned for Third Chancery Court District Judge Vicki Daniels.
Blake is a native of Batesville, Mississippi. He is married to the former Mindy Manning, also of Batesville. Blake and Mindy have always loved the community of Oxford and all it has to offer. After living in New Orleans for three years, Blake and Mindy officially moved to Oxford in 2016. Mindy is a nurse anesthetist at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. They have two young daughters, Ari and Hallie, and a twelve year old Beagle named Lucky. They attend Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville.
Blake is an avid weightlifter, and enjoys spending time with his family and watching Ole Miss sports when he is not practicing law.
Blake is currently working on his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law and is set to graduate in the Spring of 2023.
