In December 2014, Kaitlyn joined Tannehill, Carmean, & McKenzie, PLLC as a paralegal assistant in the real estate department. She is a recent graduate of Millsaps College with a major in psychology. During her time at Millsaps she played fast-pitch softball and was on the SAA 2013 Championship Softball Team. Kaitlyn was also an athletic trainer for the football team for the 2014 season. While living in Jackson, she enjoyed volunteering at Brown Elementary School as well as Mustard Seed, which is a community for individuals with developmental disabilities. Kaitlyn most recently served as an intern for Calhoun Health Services in the Senior Care Wing under social work, where she worked with elderly patients with memory issues and rehabilitation.

She was born and raised in Calhoun City, Mississippi and attends Lewis Memorial Methodist Church. She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling through the University of West Alabama.
