Edward J. (“Josh”) Bogen, Jr., Senior Partner in the law firm of McGee and Bogen in Leland, Mississippi, serves as of counsel. Josh brings over thirty-five years of legal experience to Tannehill & Carmean. Josh handles general litigation, personal injury, wills and estates, business law, real estate matters and criminal defense.

Josh graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1969 and joined McGee and Bogen. He has served as the Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Leland and Hollandale, Mississippi, Prosecuting Attorney for Washington County and President of the Wayne County Bar Association. In 2003, Josh was President of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and is currently on the National Board. Membership in ABOTA is limited to less than 1% of lawyers in each state. Members are required to have participated in at least 50 jury trials.

He is also a fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. The Fellows designation is the Foundation's highest honor. Only 10% of the lawyers in Mississippi are eligible for membership as a fellow. Their selection is recognition by their peers that the attorney has achieved the highest level of professionalism, competence and leadership. Fellows are selected for membership based not only on their excellence as a lawyer but also by their dedication and service to the public and profession.

Josh is married to the former Patsy Ann Moore of Senatobia, Mississippi, (University of Mississippi Class of 1965). They have two children: Josh III, a resident of Belmont, North Carolina, where he is employed at Dunavant Enterprises; and Hayes, a resident of Belmont, North Carolina, where he is employed as a mortgage broker. Josh and Patsy have two grandchildren: Josh IV, and Elizabeth.
