Before coming to work for the Tannehill, Carmean & McKenzie, PLLC law firm, Becky Murphree was legal assistant to the managing partner of Tollison Law Firm, PA for a portion of her nine and one-half years with that firm. She also worked for Charles H. Walker for four years with a hiatus between the two firms while working as an administrative assistant, assistant general manager and, eventually, general manager of the former Ramada Inn University here in Oxford. Becky has worked in many areas from personal injury, medical malpractice, estates, bankruptcies and criminal cases.

Born in Calhoun City, she and her family lived in Fairbanks, Alaska for a number of years before returning to Calhoun City. She graduated from Calhoun City High School in 1973 and attended Miller Hawkins Business School in Memphis. She married in 1973 and moved to Ft. Knox, Kentucky, and, later, Butzbach, West Germany with her husband who was in the military.

She is the proud mother of two children, Jason, who is thirty-five and a resident of North Mississippi Regional Center. Her daughter, Lindsay, twenty-eight, is married to Joey Hastings of Water Valley. They live in Reid, Mississippi outside of Bruce, and they are the proud parents of two children, Collin, six, and Riley, three.

Becky lives in the Anchor Community where she is a member of Anchor Baptist Church.
